BRAIN OF BIHAR :-
Well this year Brain of Bihar took a great leap as it was now the biggest Inter school competition organised in the state of Bihar. We, the members of the

;">Team Discover, worked very hard for the success of our event. Tests were conducted at a hectic schedule under the burning sun as we had to work out days and nights to generate sponsorship, meetings and most importantly money.

INTRODUCTION TO BRAIN OF BIHAR 2009 :-

TEAM DISCOVER :-

We, a few students studying in first year in the IITs, IT-BHU, ISMU, IISER's, NITs and BIT across the country came together and formed a group named “DISCOVER” which organized an Inter School Quiz Competition, “BRAIN OF BIHAR' 09” among the leading schools of Patna and other districts of Bihar.

This w as the biggest Inter School quiz competition event for the schools of Bihar ever. Our capital city has witnessed “The Brain of Patna” quiz contest thrice. Two years ago it was transformed into “Brain of Bihar” to include the entire top schools of Bihar. Carrying forward the trend and mission started “Brain of Bihar” is back this year with a bigger role and a greater aim.
The purpose is to check mental ability and IQ of the aspirants. The contest was for the students studying in standard 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. Apart from school students we also included college students in the individuals round for which we conducted preliminary tests separately, registrations for which were done in various coaching institutes.

History :-

Results from this competition have brought forward real intelligence from Bihar as Brain of Bihar 2003 Divyanshu Jha won Bronze medal in theInternational Physics Olympiad 2006 and also crack IIT-JEE with AIR 10 general category.

Response :-

We got great response in different schools all over the state. Over 7000 students of various schools took part in the tests organized by the 'Team Discover Members' in their respective schools.

ALL ABOUT The EVENT :-

The competition was conducted in three phases. The first phase consisted of a preliminary IQ test of 30 minutes which were conducted separately in each school i n the week starting from 2nd July. Through this we selected few students from each school for the second phase. The second phase was conducted on the 14th of July in the S.K.Memorial hall and it again comprised of a one hour IQ test. From this test we selected top six individuals and top six teams for Grand Finale in the S.K.Memorial hall on the 14th of July between 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm. These six teams would then had multimedia and audio visual quizzing from which the top three teams evolved as winners, first runners up and second runner up. After the group event we called upon stage the top six individuals and one among them was crowned the “Brain of Bihar' 09” title.

The Grand Finale :-

The grand finale at the S.K.Memorial Hall started at 2:00 pm onwards. The selected students of various schools all over Bihar gathered for the mega event. The one hour test for the second round started at about 3:10 pm. Nearly 900 students took the test under the invigilation of the Team Discover members. The questions were logic based and while checking the answer-sheets it was quite hard for us to decide whom to choose as the marks were so close. At 5:00 pm our Honourable Chief Guest Mr.Debananda Konwar, Honourable Governor of Bihar came to attend this mega event along with Guest of Honour Abhyanand Sir, ADGP BIHAR , The Mentor of the Brain of Bihar event .
Honourable Governor in his speech adresses the importance of the event and also praised our sincere efforts for the success of the event. After his speech he awarded momentos and certificates to the team Discover members. Later Group rounds and Individual rounds were conducted as per the schedule.

Our Aim :-

The aim of the organization was to incorporate the feelings of self-responsibility and commitment towards the society. Our goal was to provide exposure and motivation for school students to the level of competition they are going to face further in their life. Hope that you will also cooperate with us in our ambitious mission.

Prizes :-

There were attractive prizes for Top 20 STUDENTS like Laptop, Desktops, Scientific calculators and mobile sets for the individual events.
Mobiles, Watches and Scientific calculators for the group events to encourage young minds of Bihar.
Best school award for one school for being centre of excellence.
Top 100 students got certificate of Runners up of BRAIN OF BIHAR 2009.

Earlier Achievements

We all students of IIT’s, IIIT’s and NIT’s are working since 2008.
Earlier we and our seniors have conducted BRAIN OF BIHAR , Combined in the states Bihar and Jharkhand and this program is working in these states since 2001 under the guidance of Abhayand sir, ADGP of POLICE (BIHAR) .
BRAIN OF BIHAR is very popular in these states and every year more students from neighbhouring states are also participating in this event.
Every year BRAIN OF BIHAR is conducted and As Many as Thousands of students participates in this program and till now most of those thousands students have cleared IIT-JEE and AIEEE.
Till now Many thousands of students have participated in this program and we got an overwhelming response.
In BRAIN OF BIHAR we visit each school in Every DISTRICT and we register all the students at very NOMINAL FEES, and we conduct tests and those who comes in top list , gets prizes and in which top prize remains LAPTOP, After that we guide all the registered students.
In the prizes and Fascillation Function, many times our The chief Guest remains Chief Minister or Governor and Guest of honour remains Direcror of IIT or NIT.
We have also conducted I-DESIRE, A Free tuition , fooding and accomodation program since 2004.
I-DESIRE is also conducted every year and we properly guide each and every student and we make an arrangement for free tuition by EMINENT TEACHERS in all subjects separatly and free fooding and lodging for all the selected students every year.
Till now Many thousands of students have participated in this program and we got an overwhelming response and till now most of those thousands students have cleared IIT-JEE and AIEEE.

BRAIN OF INDIA MESSAGE :-

BRAIN OF INDIA 's mission is to focus on investing in the delivery of world-class education opportunities for all students, exceptionally gifted children from impoverished rural backgrounds in India.
We presently focus on preparing students for IIT-JEE and other Engineering Entrance examinations and exclusively target brilliant but economically and socially underprivileged rural and semi-urban students. There is presently no alternative natural source of funding available for these deserving students to pursue their dreams.
As these BRAIN OF INDIA Scholars break the shackles of poverty and join the affluent, they would have a moral obligation to JOIN us to support a growing number of BRAIN OF INDIA Scholars every year, and in this way we will be successful in creating Fraternity among all students.
We as a TEAM are committed to initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education from considerably basic level(From IXth to XII) and Guiding for IIT-JEE and other Enginering Entrance Examination for the year 2011.
Apart from these, from next year onwards we will also guideto all UG(Under Graduate) students of various Engineering college and Medical college, and also for Medical Entrance Exams (AIIMS, CBSE PM/PD etc), and by the year 2013, we will extend our program from primary level of school education.
We recognized the need to coach even the brightest of students for competitive exams so that they score up to their full potential and secure admission to the DREAM CAREER of their choice.
